The model creates a PNG with twice the width and height of the source image.
The AI runtime and model are downloaded after you start processing. Your selected image stays in this browser.
Choose one image to process with browser-side AI.

Questions
No. Your selected image stays in the browser. The browser downloads the AI runtime and model assets, then creates the upscaled PNG locally.
The result has twice the source width and twice the source height, which means four times the pixel count.
No. The AI model estimates plausible detail, but it cannot know exactly what was missing from the original image.
AI inference and the four-times-larger output use much more browser memory than a normal resize operation.
The first version creates a PNG result so the browser can preserve output detail and source transparency where possible.
